Recycle and Repurpose Used Durable Medical Equipment

DID YOU KNOW?

Most Durable Medical Equipment (DME) isn’t reused in the United States. It’s thrown away.

OUR MISSION

EMBRACE was founded in 2018 to repurpose used DME (Durable Medical Equipment) to under-served people around the world. All items collected are distributed through Samaritan’s Purse® World Medical Mission.

Our Story

Shannon has worked for over a decade for an Orthopaedic practice, where she witnessed large amounts of durable medical equipment that has gone out of the practice prescribed for patients to aid their recovery from musculoskeletal issues.

Shannon felt compelled to do something about the unused DME and discovered Samaritan’s Purse’s World Medical Missions Charity. Together they work together to repurpose used DME for use in under-developed countries around the world. Embrace offers a place in Hampton Roads to donate your used orthopedic braces, crutches, wheel chairs, and walkers.
